Now, we’re all IT engineers here and logic is hardwired in our brain, so bad luck omens don’t impress us much, do they? We’re not the superstitious kind, that’s for sure. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t help out the superstitious ones around us.

The challenge?

We’re launching the “Friday, the 13th” coding competition, a challenge through which you need to identify the number of times “Friday, the 13th” occurs in a given time interval. Thus, the superstitious kind around us will know when they should keep a low profile in order to avoid bad luck.

The prize? We will reward the winner’s intelligence and wit with a car camera recorder.

Pi versus Tau, the math match of the year

Contest ended 29th June 2016

What’s all of this about?

You’re probably already familiar with Pi, the famous math constant that keeps popping up in every mathematical formula out there. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. But you already knew that, right?

Well, what you also need to know is that Pi has a ferocious enemy: Tau. Tau is approximately 6.28, which basically means that Tau = 2 x Pi (because, you know, Pi equals approx. 3.14).

As today is Tau Day (Yey!), we’ve decided to organize what will remain in history as the math match of the year and invite on stage both numbers and see who’s the toughest after all: Pi or Tau? A bit geeky? Sure, but we love geekiness. A bit violent? Definitely, but don’t you just love it when two mathematical constants are getting into a fight?

Now choose your side and solve the challenge!
