We currently have a client that is looking for a Data Engineer. The client is offering a remote as well as part time position. The duration for this project is estimated to last a few weeks, maybe more maybe less.
Please not that the information below is brief and that the client will provide additional information to those interested and capable of taking on this assignment.
Job Description
The client has two pieces of code that are linked to an Excel spreadsheet: one written in R and the other in Python. Current run time of each program is 20s.
Two main objectives:
1) Set up an AWS environment such that they can operate Excel within a virtual environment
2) Adapt the R and Python code such that it uses all the cores available with their AWS instance
Requirements
- Must be familiar with the following: Python
- Parallel Programming
- R Language
- AWS
- Must speak fluent English
