Your Key Responsibilities

IT Consulting:

  • Global capacity forecast including amount of planned / unplanned provisioning and requests;
  • Calculate technical requirements for new systems or expansions;
  • Consulting of internal customers and solution definition based on product and service portfolio;
  • Create and process sizing requests (GTS Procurement) for lifecycles and/or expansions;
  • Support Demand Management Process for global services and products;
  • Participate in relevant projects regarding services and products.

IT Testing:

  • Analyze and test new technologies as input for IT System Architecture.

IT Change Mgmt.:

  • Plan and implement firmware updates (create the support matrix, coordinate actions of local administrators, GTS infrastructure teams and vendors);
  • Participate in design of global strategies, concepts, processes and service improvements based on operational experiences.

IT Asset & Configuration Mgmt:

  • Ensure quality of global asset, configuration and inventory information.

IT Operations:

  • Day-by-day operating of IT systems;
  • Ensure and continuously improve reliability and availability of IT-Systems for the Schaeffler Group;
  • Monitor, analyze and resolve performance issues;
  • Install and configure IT systems, software, firmware, etc.;
  • Document administrative tasks;
  • Reporting of service quality, availability, reliability, compliance and security;
  • Health Monitoring of IT Systems to proactively avoid errors;
  • Check and ensure compliance of IT systems according to the Schaeffler standards;
  • Create reports with MS Reporting Services;
  • Reporting of all relevant activities and tasks.

IT Incident & Problem Mgmt:

  • Incident and problem handling within the Global Team and the local administrators;
  • 2nd & 3rd Level support together with local administrators in case of errors;
  • Coordinate troubleshooting processes internally and with vendors (Support Calls and Escalation).

IT User Training:

  • Create, update, communicate global service and product documentations.

Your Qualifications

  • Education: Fluent English skills (verbal and written), intercultural knowledge, good communication skills verbal and written;
  • Experience: Operational administration experience, Project coordination experiences;
  • Special skills: Coordination of troubleshooting processes for complex problems in collaboration with different external vendors and internal interfaces, open-minded, targeted, business thinking, customer-focused, team-player;
  • Product / Vendor Skills: Deep knowledge of Dell (e.g. Dell PowerEdge) and HP (e.g. HP ProLiant) server components, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and Nokia VitalQIP.
