Your Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual design, planning, management and implementation of worldwide network projects in the context of WAN (e.g. global roll-out of SD-WAN technology);
- Provision, operation and further development of the worldwide WAN platform;
- Creation of high level, low level and operational concepts as well as execution of complex failure analyses;
- Technical consulting and global support of administrators and specialist departments;
- Collaboration in budget planning and monitoring as well as control of service providers.
Your Qualifications
- Completed studies in (business) informatics or comparable qualification with knowledge and experience gained in practice;
- High level of competence and 5+ years of professional experience in the areas of WAN connections (e.g. MPLS, MAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Internet), WAN optimization (e.g. Riverbed SteelHead), SD-WAN and Cloud Connectivity (e.g. Equinix Cloud Exchange);
- Proven knowledge of network technologies (e.g. switching, routing);
- Experience with enterprise great WAN products like Cisco/Viptela SD-WAN would be an advantage;
- Basic commercial knowledge of ordering processes, service accounting and budget planning;
- Very good written and spoken English skills;
- Perseverance with a quality-oriented approach and the ability to work abstractly;
- Initiative, willingness to learn and customer orientation as well as experience in change processes.
