Description
The SDL is responsible for coordinating SW Engineering activities necessary for FCE Projects (Application, Platform, Innovation, RFQ & Serial life). The SDL (Software Design Leader) is leading the development of the full SW product or platform to specifications for RFQ or Awarded products.
Software design leader scope include:
- Software Requirements, Architecture, design, coding, testing, Integration & management;
- Low layer, Vehicle Network & Diagnostic, middleware, application, HMI, Cloud;
- System performance, Trace & Log, monitoring;
- Calibration and product specific Tools(ASIK SDK…);
- Product embedded SW for Plant testing;
- Technical solutions identification at Software level;
- Define and track progress of each Project SW feature & requirements after initial tailoring;
- SW BOM;
- SW design compliancy with functional safety & cybersecurity regulation;
- Define cost optimization by design, co-design and innovation;
- SW Risk analysis (DFMEA or other).
Main Activities/Responsibilities
- Responsible of the SW Delivery ( Quality, Planning & Cost);
- Leading the SW project with the support of the Software Teams;
- Planning Software development Schedule;
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting software project progress;
- Supporting the TPL for the project in all SW activities;
- Ensuring and gathering the technical compliance of the product in SW:
- oSW specification, requirement and architecture with the “Product Definition Group”;
- oSW detailed design and implementation with the “Product Construction Group”;
- oSW Continuous integration with the “Product Integration & Test Group”;
- Prepares strategic decisions;
- Plan resources and budgets;
- Communicates with peer in the SW entity and shares best business practices;
- In time and in budget;
- Organizes task forces and participates actively in critical programs to solve technical problems and propose corrective actions;
- To the state-of-the-art available technical knowledge;
- People Development:
- oLeadership / mentoring support of the team;
- oSuccession planning;
- oResource planning.
Qualifications
Minimum education level:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science / Software engineering
- Proficient in English
Experience:
- Experience in automotive area in Tiers 1 in Engineering department
- Successful launch of product(s)in mass production
