Overview
Database Services design and deliver RDBMS database products from Microsoft, Oracle and SAP. We are looking for delivery manager/analyst who specializes in Microsoft SQL Server and has a track record of delivering migrations, consolidation and upgrades to modern platforms including Google Cloud Platform.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan a framework for migrations of SQLServer to a consolidated virtual environment;
- Recruit and manage resources to carry out the migrations;
- Identify and maintain scripts and processes to automate the migrations;
- Help to design strategies and mechanisms for migrating SQLServer workloads to the Google Cloud Platform.
You will have:
Required:
- Strong Analytical skills;
- Experience of large-scale database migrations;
- Minimum 5 years experience working with SQL server 2008 to 2016 and later versions;
- Experience with Windows 2008 / 2012R2 / 2016;
- ESX or other virtualization technology;
- Knowledge of Active Directory / Kerberos / SPNs;
- Management skills for small technical teams;
- GCP (preferred) / MS Azure / AWS or other Cloud technologies.
Desirable:
Skills / knowledge of / experience with:
- C# experience,
- SANs / SRDF,
- Experience working on automation projects,
- JIRA and other SDLC tools,
- Confluence,
- TDE and TLS Encryption,
- JAVA / Python / JavaScript / Php,
- HP hardware,
- Github or other Source Control systems.
